About this project

Powerlance is a cross-platform desktop application built to solve a common problem faced by consultants, freelancers, and professionals who manage large amounts of information: spreadsheets eventually become difficult to manage, while traditional CRM platforms are often unnecessarily complex. The project was designed as a middle ground between spreadsheets and enterprise software. Its goal is to help users consolidate, organize, segment, and manage information from multiple sources without requiring database expertise or extensive software configuration. From a technical perspective, the platform provides automated import, mapping, consolidation, and duplicate-detection workflows that transform disconnected spreadsheets into a structured and searchable workspace. Users can create dynamic lists, perform bulk searches, apply advanced filters, and manage reminders linked to their data. The application was built using Tauri, React, TypeScript, Rust, and SQLite following a local-first architecture focused on performance, privacy, and complete ownership of user data. The product is currently being validated with real users while continuing to evolve through feedback and workflow improvements. Powerlance aims to remove the unnecessary complexity of traditional CRM software and provide a faster, simpler, and more flexible way to work with structured information.
